Commercial Law

When it comes to business relations in international trade, the observance of a number of sales law provisions is of crucial importance.

For sales contracts with a European business partner, UN-Sales Law will apply, and in some cases, this law will even be mandatory. Since the provisions of this law are – with regard to liability and interference with the performance of obligations – in part much stricter than the German law, it is highly advisable to discuss with a German business partner prior to the conclusion of a contract whether such an agreement should be governed by German or by UN Sales Law, and to include the respective clauses in a contract.

Our firm is also pleased to assist you with the drafting of contracts and with the preparation and checking of General Terms & Conditions.

As well, we will gladly advise you when your company is faced with legal questions or disputes arising in the context of labor law, unfair competition and the settlement of insurance claims.
